About
Through an interest in the natural world I have spent my career covering many aspects of designing, maintaining and improving the landscape around us. This has taken in all manner of projects and landscapes across the UK, from private gardens through to intensely used public access leisure sites and nationally important protected areas.
I believe it is extremely important for all horticultural and arboricultural projects to not only provide the results required within the brief, but to also have as much positive short and long-term impact on the environment around them as possible.
Most recently I have worked in a senior national management role covering several thousand acres of land across the UK, involving numerous different habitats and external pressures. Prior to that I have undertaken a range of roles within local authorities (Tree Officer and Parks management), self-employed landscaper and designer, Head gardener, Contracts manager and Horticultural and Arboricultural apprenticeship lead and assessor.
For over 15 years I have been an active Green Flag award judge.
